AFC Bournemouth.

Alan Hansen famously said you can’t win anything with kids. Eddie Howe will be hoping that’s still the case after his summer transfer dealings have seen him attract several players with not one of them being older than 22. At 38, Howe’s hardly a veteran, he’s like the older kid at the shops who hangs round with the younger lads to look cool. He’s a promising manager linked most recently with the England job and has crafted a side intent on playing a sharp passing game. Sadly the south-coast side look set for a scrap in and around the bottom 3 as they could fall victim to a case of second-season-syndrome. One positive is the return of a number of players who spent last season on the sidelines, including striker Callum Wilson – who if he can pick up where he left off might just get the goals to save them. And if they can avoid the drop, Howe will have no problem dishing out saves on his Fanta outside the local offy.

Key man: Callum Wilson

Best signing: Jordon Ibe

Verdict: 19th
